One of Australia’s most well-known, respected and influential Floral Designers, Matthew Landers (34) has been a force within the Australian Floral Industry for nearly 20 years.

Matthew grew up surrounded by flowers and bustling business. His Mother, Linda Landers (Australian Floral Royalty) made sure that Matthew was put to work from a young age learning the family business.

In 2009, Matthew wanted to explore opportunities overseas full-time. At this time, Matthew (and his Mother Linda) sold their empire and Matthew committed to living Internationally.

Show Notes

  1. If you are interested in branding and are unsure where to start, don’t be afraid to ask someone to help.

  2. In the end, branding can help streamline your processes and inventory, saving you both money and time.

  3. Align your branding with the experience you want to create for your ideal clients.

  4. Because of the nature of flower purchasing, recognize that every purchase is an emotional purchase. It could be self-care, a special gift, or sending love to someone special. Serving your client is key.

  5. Follow up with your clients and ask for feedback. How did they like the flowers? did the person they send them to enjoy them?, how could you improve your service? All great questions that show you care and value their opinion.

  6. Create a team and empower them to represent your name and brand to your clients. This is key to growing your business.
