Steve Moore

founder / creative director of Sinclair and Moore

Steve is the visionary for our company and runs the day to day operations, marketing and social media platforms in addition to directing the creative side of the business, overseeing every last detail that create the look and feel of our events. As an experienced musician, cake artist, dress maker, floral designer and event planner, Steve combined these skills to launch the company in 2002. He loves finding unique inspiration for each client we work with, and never tires from telling their story through the design of their wedding.

JAMIE SINCLAIR MOORE

owner / coordination advisor

Jamie is co-owner of our company and lends her middle name, Sinclair, to the business name. Her strong organizational skills stem from a background in marketing and in the communication offices at Ralph Lauren in New York City. Previously working as our wedding director, Jamie's role has now shifted to more behind the scenes serving as an advisor and support to our coordination team, allowing her primary focus to be on raising our growing family.

Our love of flowers and the human spirit, our passion for creativity, inspiration, and encouragement will always connect us, and I am grateful to share this journey with you. For the first time since we started our podcast almost 2 years ago, we didn't air an episode last week.

Excited to have Steve Moore of Sinclair & Moore Events as our guest this week. Steve shares his story of how his business began and how he grew his business from sewing wedding dresses to becoming a wedding planner.

Show Notes

  1. Look at your business and be willing to change and adapt to your business needs.

  2. Pull yourself outside of your business and look at your skills and talents to see what other resources you may have to make it through this challenging time.

  3. This can be a difficult time, when you’re ready, choose to look at this time as a season to see what you can do to reinvent how you do business and flowers.

  4. After this time, our designs will most likely change and you can be creative to create new styles or designs. It can be exciting to do something different.

  5. Instead of waiting to see what the next trend is you can be the trendsetter.

  6. Take this time to look at your contracts and see how you can improve them.

  7. Steve mentioned Volunteering. How can you help other businesses in your community during the time of recovery that is ahead? Maybe you can volunteer for them and they can in turn volunteer for you.
