Cecilia Fox

Cecilia Fox founder and creative director Melanie Stapleton has been immersed
in floristry for over 25 years, starting her career in Aotearoa at age 16. After relocating to London to work under many top florists, Mel moved to Australia to start Cecilia Fox, where for over 15 years she has been considered one of the country’s most influential florists. She has recently found her roots, and a fresh start, in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa.

In 2018 Mel and the Cecilia Fox team launched Flowering Now, an annual community event that brought together many of Naarm (Melbourne) floral studios under the one roof, giving participants the freedom to exhibit experimental concepts without the constraints of a brief.
