Inspired Design is the Floral Education Team co-created by Patience Pickner AIFD PFCI and Ace Berry AIFD PFCI. Nearly 10 years ago an overbooked flight in the Denver Airport caused an 8 hr layover where these two flower designers discovered that their floral path was destined to cross and Inspired Design was born. Patience and Ace travel the country sharing their love and passion of all things floral at stage shows, hands on classes and at their yearly 3-day Inspired Design Floral Retreats. These retreats have quickly created a family of floral artist attendees who eagerly wait for the next retreat to be announced. From education to networking to bomb social media content, these retreats are exactly what creatives need to feed their souls.

Patience Pickner AIFD, PFCI, SDCF lives in Chamberlain SD, a picturesque town located on the banks of the beautiful Missouri River.  Purchasing a bankrupt flower shop in 1998, she quickly turned it around by specializing in customer service, super fresh flowers and unique designs....and also by adding lots of wonderful home décor items.  Patience has been active with SDFA~ serving on the board for many years, from treasurer to president.  She also served as President of the North Central Chapter of AIFD.  Patience has been awarded the South Dakota Floral Associations Designer of the Year 3 times, and she was  also honored to be chosen as Business Person of the year in 2010, 2019 and 2022, as well as her store, The Picket Fence being voted as the "Best place to work" in 2021.  She is currently a member of both the SAF design Team and Direct Export design team, a past finalist of the Mayesh Design Star, a past designer at The White House, and a past member of the Fitz Design Team. She is currently the Education Coordinator and Social Media Consultant at Kennicott Brothers Wholesale.   Patience enjoys sharing her passion for the floral industry on her Facebook Page The Business of Flowers and Design, where she posts weekly how-to videos and business tips.  She is Co-founder of Inspired Design, a design team that spreads their love and passion of floral art across the country, through their website, stage programs, retreats and hands on classes. Ace Berry AIFD, PFCI, CFD, TMF, worked in the oil fields of Texas for 5 years before finding his true passion .....FLOWERS!!! He recently opened his own Floral shop in Fulshear, Texas. He Earned his Texas Master Florist in 2012 , was Unit president for Teleflora in 2013. He and his friend created Inspired Designs ....a design team dedicated to their Passion for the industry and paying it forward, with mentoring new designers, educational programs and classes. He has travelled the country taking classes and working with some of the best designers in the world! Ace was inducted in the American Institute of Floral Designers in Denver Colorado in 2015. In 2017 Ace won Houston Designer and and in 2018 was the second runner-up in Texas Designer of the year. 2019 Ace became the Texas Designer of the Year. Ace was Inducted into PFCI in 2019. 2020 Ace was cast on Reality show Full Bloom which is a floral competition on HBO max Ace was the runner up . Ace is also excited to play a part in the future of this amazing industry.
