We hear many fun quotes pertaining to lemons especially about making lemonade and while many sayings are as bitter as the namesake, let’s focus on the beauty and freshness of lemons. A little different blog for The Flower Podcast, but I have such a love for the vibrance of citrus that I wanted to share. Today the highlight is the Meyer lemon with a few fun facts shared by Trees.com. Sweeter in taste, slightly smaller, and intense color, the Meyer lemon has been described as possessing the tartness of a lemon but paired with the sweetness of an orange. Not readily found at the grocers, the Meyer lemon makes a wonderful option for the home garden, patio, or better yet, a lovely addition for the flower farm.
Using citrus and other fruits has become quite common in the floral industry. A touch of citrus can add texture, a pop of color, and an additional element of nature to any design and of course, the thick rind and long lasting freshness make for a wonderful accent to table decor or design.

A great addition to florals, lemons are a colorful selection in the home garden or a unique tree to add in farming. Great source of pollination, additional fragrance, fabulous foliage, and of course the enjoyment of bright colors, lemons or any kind of citrus brings beauty and refreshment on a warm summer day.
